Pennsylvania Airplane Crash
Charm Gentry, WV K-9 Forensic and Cadaver Team (FACT)
Charm has taken several cadaver classes from us with three different dogs. She’s gotten so good that last class she was drafted to assist in teaching the field exercises.
Charm writes further:
I came home from my DMORT assignment on the September 25th and went back to the crash site on September 29th to work my K-9, Jeannie. John Ackerman (who is also one of your all's graduates!) headed up the K-9 search. We were to clear some areas bordering the site to see if there were any more human remains. John assigned the areas, which included the large field between the crash site and where the families had gathered. Kathy Holbert (another of your graduates!) was there with her K-9 and several members of her SAR group. We worked our assigned areas, double checked any areas of interest, and all concurred that the area did not need further searching.
Being able to finally work in "my" area of expertise and having my K-9 close by was a great stress reliever as I drove back home to West Virginia!
