Disarticulated Human Remains Daren Bledsoe and K9 Tara NWSD_Search_Date: 11/23/2002 Mission_Description: Disarticulated Human Remains search Requesting Agency - Oregon State Police Local hunters had located clothing, glasses, sock and several bones.This was a wooded area with snow on the ground. (Note time of year) Ground team brought in to search area based on hunter find. 2 weeks after initial ground search, K9 team was asked to come in research area, as ground teams were unable to locate remains that could be used for identification. K9 team began work at initial location of located articles. High level of interest noted. Team proceed to work a circle out from the remains 40 minutes into the search, K9 located a pair of jeans, 50 yards from start location (about 2 acres searched at this point 60 minutes into the search K9 gives strong change of behavior in shrub area, and gives indication. Cranium and mandible located approximately 3 feet apart. 100 yards from start and about 5 acres searched at this point.
