Missing Head Song Kowbell & Zip CARDA, California Zip and I had another cadaver find on May 24th, 2002. A logger cut the tree wrong, and it rolled over him knocking his head off from lower jaw up. The loggers found his body but couldn’t locate his head in daylight. We were called out at midnight (still wondering why then) and Zip indicated right where the head should have been but it was buried about 8 inches from impact. I did the recovery, locating brain matter, several pieces of skull and a couple of pieces of jaw with several teeth. She did a nice job.
